Big Gay Weekend Q&A
Q: Do you need to stay at the hotel to come to the events?
A: No, you can purchase event tickets to one or all of the events, and you do not need to stay at the hotel. Although, you can enhance the weekend by staying at the resort for our exclusive LOW prices.
Q: Are the events 21+?
A: No, all the events are 18+ except for the events inside the Bahi Hut (Welcome Happy Hour & Red Light, Leather & Lace Party)
Q: If you stay at the resort, do you need a weekend pass?
A: Maybe. Each room with a minimum stay of 2 nights or more) receives 1 free weekend pass. Additional hotel guests will need to purchase a weekend pass. This is to maintain low prices on the hotel rooms.
Q: Will there be dining options?
A: Yes, we have secured delicious food trucks over the weekend!
Q: Where will I pick up tickets?
A: During the pool parties, there will be volunteers staffed at the hotel lobby to pick up weekend passes and individual event tickets. If the event staff isn't available for any reason, you can pick up tickets at the front desk. During the Bahi Hut events, there will be volunteers at the entrance of the Bahi Hut. There will be signage stating "Tickets."
Q: Can you purchase tickets at the door?
A: Yes, but the process is the same as purchasing online. You will need to purchase tickets online and show the digital ticket to pick up an event bracelet.
Q: What is a T-Dance? (Regarding the Sundays pool party)
A: Tea dances were events organized on Sunday afternoons in the gay community, originating in New York in the 1950s and 1960s. They were a place for singles to meet. The name alludes to traditional tea dances of the English countryside.
